Since 1977 and after more than 800 performances, members of the Dallas Symphony Chorus know that our view makes for the absolute best concert experience.
Who else gets to see the inner workings of the world-class Dallas Symphony Orchestra? Who else has the honor of singing under the baton of Maestro Jaap van Zweden, named Musical America Conductor of the Year 2012? We do. And you can too when you audition for the Dallas Symphony Chorus this spring. Our all-volunteer ensemble is nearly 200 voices strong and features the finest blend of soprano, alto, tenor and bass that the Metroplex has to offer.
We're auditioning all voice parts as we begin our 35th season and prepare to perform great choral masterworks including the War Requiem by Benjamin Britten and Carl Orff's Carmina Burana. If you want to make your voice heard from the best seat in the concert hall, click here for details.

2011-2012 - Our 34th Season!

We started 2012 with two engagements in early January with the Dallas Symphony Pops Orchestra (Zelda and Masters of Film Music - James Newton Howard). In March we sang the music of Hector Berlioz (his Te Deum) and J.S. Bach (the powerful and majestic St. Matthew Passion) and are looking forward to closing out this season over Mother’s Day Weekend in May with a concert performance of Beethoven’s opera Fidelio.
But wait! While the regular symphony season may be over, we’re not done! We’ll be singing patriotic songs to kick off the Memorial Day weekend with Marvin Hamlisch and then in June, music from composer Nobuo Uematsu’s epic video game Final Fantasy. View the 2011-2012 Season Schedule Now.
