2023-24 Season
The Chorus is excited to enter the 2023-24 season with the familiar, some VERY new and even a little fun, too! First of all, we are excited to welcome our Chorus Director, Anthony Blake Clark, who has been hard at work behind the scenes helping to get the Chorus prepared for resuming rehearsals in August since his appointment was announced this past May.
The Chorus officially gets the season underway in early September with some fun - the DSO's live "Movie in Concert" series of the 1984 film Amadeus. Near the end of September, the entire Chorus joins Maestro Luisi in Liszt's A Faust Symphony. Then, to help celebrate Halloween this year and have a little more fun, the Chorus will once again join the DSO in another Harry Potter live movie performance in late October - Harry Potter & the Prisoner of Azkaban.
In December 2023, our always popular and heartwarming Christmas Pops concerts with guest soloists and conductor Larry Loh as well as a third movie collaboration with the DSO of The Polar Express.
In early March 2024, we will bring a premiere for both us and the DSO - Schmidt's Das Buch mit Sieben Siegeln (The Book with Seven Seals). We conclude the season in April 2024 with concerts of Brahms' inspiring Ein Deutsches Requiem.
We can't wait for you to join us at the Meyerson this season!
